The Hotel Ancora is the oldest hotel in Cortina d’Ampezzo. It was built in 1826, and it is located right in the centre of the town, in the pedestrian area, where you can find the best fashion shops and attractions.
The hotel is also well-known for the high quality of its services: in 1996, 1997, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 it has been awarded with the "Three Golden Keys" prize by Gambero Rosso for being one of the best 11 hotels in Italy.
From 1996 to 2009 it got a special award by the Veneto Region for its quality and it is also listed in the guide "Dove", as being one of the six best restaurants and hotels in 2004. The Hotel Ancora is also published in the Hip Hotels Guide – Great Britain – UK.
The Hotel received, for the quality of the rooms, from 2005 till 2009 the certificate “Italian rooms", by Touring Club, as one of the best hotels in Italy, chosen among 5000.
