Bevagna, in the heart of medieval Umbria, was once a Roman settlement, and the Orto degli Angeli is an architectural structure in which important traces of the past are still to be seen
The hanging garden (hortus) connects two
historical buildings, both built on the site of major Roman remains (a temple and a theatre dating back to the I century A.D.); the interesting reconstructions of medieval arts and crafts housed in part of the building come to life each year in June during the striking ''Mercato delle Gaite''. The owners welcome guests to their historical dwelling, inviting them to experience a simple and friendly atmosphere and take part in a great Umbrian family's way of life.
