Built in 1780, on 15th-century foundations , Monte Solare was, from the beginning , a patrician house and in 1885 was bought by an aristocratic family who restored the charming 16th-century chapel in the
grounds and redecorated the interior. The Villa retains unchanged many of its original characteristics: large fireplaces, walls decorated with murals, ancient terracotta floors and period furnishing. In the restaurant one find traditional
