Tenuta Roccadia – Carlentini (Siracusa)

The Roccadia agriturismo is an estate immersed in 14 acres of fantastic landscape, builed on a hill from which you can see a part of Catania Gulf and the majestic Etna.

The climate is temperate in winter and breezy in summer. It is favourable for orange cultivations, that give the excellent first material for our hand made preserves and liqueurs, and for the growth of tropical plants. In 1070 the Feud of Roccadia was donated to Cistercian monks by Count Ruggero d'Altavilla, where they built a convent. The copy of painting "Madonna of Roccadia" (also called "Madonna of the Pomegranate"), which makes part of monks heritage, can be seen in the entrance of agriturismo , the original is kept in the church of Roccadia in Carlentini. The walls were refurbished in twenty guest rooms, standard and comfort, located in different areas of the company.
